COVID-19

With the current COVID-19 global pandemic we are all faced with challenging times ahead. With the situation changing frequently, we will continue to assess and respond to these changes, because the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, foster carers, clients community and the animals in our care are our top priority.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: From 11:59pm Thursday, 15 July 2021 all GAWS animal adoption services are by appointment only. Public viewing of animals onsite is not permitted until further notice. All animals available for adoption are listed on the below specie specific page of our website. If you're interested in submitting an application for an animal, please complete the appropriate online form. If we think you may be a match, one of our team members will be in touch to arrange an appointment.

When visiting us onsite please ensure that you abide by the recommended density limits per building, wear a fitted face mask in all settings(unless an exemption applies), practice physical distancing at all times, utilise hand sanitising stations located around the site and sign in via the QR code when you arrive.

We've changed our adoption process...

To learn more about our new process click here. If you're interested in adopting a new furry or feathered family member, please visit the relevant species page and follow the application process. One of our friendly staff members will be in touch.

Adopt

Our main aim when an animal comes into our care is to prepare them for their new life in a forever home. Animals are checked over by a vet, vaccinated, desexed, microchipped and given any treatments they may need.
