This weekend (28-29 May), adoption fees for cats will be lowered to just $29 to ease pressure on the GAWS shelter.
We currently have more than 350 cats in care, pushing the facility to capacity and placing enormous strain on the animals, staff and resources.
No appointments are necessary; however the usual GAWS adoption procedures apply during this weekend promotion to ensure that animals are matched to the right home.
All adoption animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea & worm treated.
We have extended opening hours over the weekend to provide the public with more time to adopt. The shelter will be open 10am-4pm on both days.
The promotion excludes kittens under the age of six months.
